Willard D. McCulloch, 94 of Hibbard, died February 14, 2012 of causes incident to age. He was born April 17, 1917 in Hibbard, Idaho to George William and Elizabeth Bessie Lee McCulloch. He was the sixth of ten children. He attended school in Hibbard and worked for his dad and many farmers in the Clementsville area as a young man.
He married LaRene Potter on July 2,1938. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple on November 19,1958. They were married for sixty years and had a stillborn daughter and raised two children. Their children are Norma LaRene Hinckley of Ammon and Dorothy Huffman of Hibbard. LaRene passed away October 23,1998 of a lingering illness.
Willard was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He loved working in the Sunday school. He worked for tractor implement companies much of his life, retiring as a top salesman with Massey Ferguson in Idaho Falls. He was extremely close to his family always helping them with various projects as well as his neighbors or anyone else that needed a hand. Many things came from "Willy's Putter Shop" and his creative hands.
Survivors include his daughters, Norma (Frank) Hinckley of Ammon and Dorothy (Dennis) Huffman of Hibbard, six grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a granddaughter, four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Hibbard LDS Church. The family will receive friends Sunday at the Flamm Funeral Home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
