William Arthur Cragun, Jr. was born August 1,1944 in Ogden, Utah to Mamie Elvira Miller and William Arthur Cragun. Bill graduated from Ben Lomond High School after which he joined the Ogden Weber County Fire Department. He had a large hand in forming the emergency medical services into the Ogden Weber County Area at the fire district. He drove the ambulance, fought fires and served on the Search and Rescue. After years of service, due to an on duty injury, Bill was forced into medical retirement.

Bill married Naneta Hieatt on January 17, 1964 in Ogden, Utah at the home of his parents.
Bill and his wife were like two peas in a pod. The two of them were always together and spent very little time apart.

Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting rocks and making jewelry. He had a true love for Yahtzee and poker. He was an avid story teller and everyone he met enjoyed his stories.

Bill is survived by his wife Naneta Cragun of Rexburg, a daughter Linda (Bud) Hines of Rexburg, a son Jerry (Melissa) Cragun of Las Vegas, Nevada, siblings; Lloyd (Faye) Cragun and Betty (Neil) Udy both of Ogden, Utah, Larry Cragun of Coos Bay, Oregon, seven grandchildren; Dustin, Alicia, Kris, Amber, Caila, Shaylyn, Chantel and eight great grandchildren; Chance, Alyee, Skyler, Averi, Milo, Constance, Dominque and Ann.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Glenn Cragun and two sisters; Beverly Cragun and Darlene Cragun.

In his last days, Bill enjoyed walks and visiting with neighbors, with his wife and watching his grandchildren play, watching horses and the elk and being surrounded by his family's love.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Rexburg South Stake in Lyman at (2041 West 5200 South) with Bishop Kevin Allred officiating
