Zane "Bud" Hines, age 83 passed away August 2nd at the Homestead Assisted Living in Rexburg Idaho.

Bud was born April 15, 1941 in Benton Illinois to Mauddina and Gilbert Hines. Bud was the fourth of eleven children. With Bud's dad in the Army, the family moved around a lot and Bud attended schools in South Carolina, Hawaii, and Virginia.

Bud found his way to California when he was a young man. He met and married Patricia Penrod and they settled down in Ventura, California. Between the two of them, they had 4 children: Michael, Kevin, Kristi, and Shawna Michelle who passed away shortly after birth.

Bud loved to travel and go camping. Bud was kind hearted and loved his family and their dog Sampson.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents Mauddina and Gilbert Hines, wife Patricia, sisters: Sue, Mickey, Kay, Judy, and daughter Shawna Michelle. Bud is survived by his siblings: Billy, Larry, Gale, Jim, Rosie and Dianne.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff at the Homestead Assisted Living and Homestead Home Health and Hospice for their loving care of Bud.

The family plans to have a celebration of life at a later date.
