Obituary

At the age of 77, on the beautiful morning of May 4, 2011, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Zulema Andaverde Robles, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving husband and family.
She was born on December 2, 1933 at San Benito, Texas to Andres and Maria Andaverde, the oldest of ten children.
At the tender age of 16 she met and married the love of her life, Antonio G. Robles. This marriage was blessed with 10 children, 5 daughters and 5 sons; 31 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren were truly the light & love of her life.
In the spring of 1960 in the hopes of providing a brighter future, they loaded their growing family in a 1952 chevy and traveled to Idaho. They had been told of finding gold in the fields of Idaho. What they found were potato, sugar beet and wheat fields waiting for them. It wasn't long before Zulema worked her way out of the fields and into the potato warehouses where she retired from Basic American Foods in 1999.
Zulema loved to cook through out her life and she was very good at it. She was very unselfish and always had extras to feed. She would feed an army of children, daughters and sons-in-law and grand children and make it seem effortless.
She especially loved to go on vacations with her husband, children and grandchildren to Texas and Mexico to visit her family and friends, so that her children and grandchildren could meet and develop relationships with there relatives and honor their heritage.
She is survived by her husband Antonio of St. Anthony, ID; children, Sylvia (Steve) Eyre of North Ogden, UT; Rosa (Rick) Hillstead of Afton, WY; Mary (Dan) Hill of St. Anthony, ID; Leticia (Alan) Wright of Rexburg, ID; Manuel Antonio (Yanet) Robles of Idaho Falls, ID; Jose Robles of Idaho Falls, ID; Bill Robles of Rexburg, ID; Jerry (Lisa) Robles of St. Anthony, ID; Rick (Kathy) Robles of Ogden, UT; Cindy (Dusty) Mason of Rexburg, ID; 31 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Guadalupe, Manuel, Saul, David, Andres Andaverde and Minerva Garcia all of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
The family wants to thank Aspen Home Health and Hospice and all of the doctors and nurses who helped care for mom. As well as the St. Anthony LDS 4th Ward home and visiting teachers and Relief Society.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center.
