IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Curtis
Jeppesen
June 17, 1954 – January 1, 2026
Curtis Craig Jeppesen of St. Anthony, Idaho, passed away January 1, 2026 at the age of 71. He was surrounded by the family he loved.
He was born June 17, 1954 in Long Beach, California, to George Ellis Jeppesen and Alice Joy Koenig Jeppesen and later moved with his family to Cache County, Utah, where he graduated from Utah State University. While attending USU, Curtis met the love of his life, Valerie Hunter. They were married in the Manti Utah Temple on September 10, 1976, and began their life together in Logan, Utah. After Valerie graduated from Utah State, Curtis continued his schooling at TradeTech in Provo, UT.
Curtis then worked for Alpine School District for ten years as a head custodian, a role in which he took great pride. He and Valerie later moved to St. Anthony, Idaho, where he sold insurance for several years before joining the Fremont County Courthouse as the custodian. Curtis became well-known and loved for keeping the courthouse sparkling clean. He retired from Fremont County in November 2015.
Curtis loved the outdoors and found joy in fishing, snowmobiling, off-roading in his Razor, hunting, eating beef, and watching sports. His favorite moments were fishing with his sons, brothers, grandchildren, and father. Alaska held a special place in his heart—not only for the halibut and salmon fishing, but for the time spent strengthening relationships with family.
A talented singer, Curtis performed with the Melodaires, the Melody Men, and participated in numerous local productions. Some of his favorite shows included Hello, Dolly! and Li'l Abner. Curtis and Valerie also loved to travel, taking many memorable cruises with friends and family, and enjoying countless trips with their children and grandchildren. Some of his most cherished destinations were Disneyland and Branson.
Curtis was an avid sports fan, especially of the Utah State Aggies, and he treasured attending football games with season tickets in hand. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in many callings throughout his life. His most cherished service was working in the Rexburg Temple baptistry.
Above all, Curtis loved his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie Jeppesen, and their five children: Craig (Tina) Jeppesen, Cody (Haeli) Jeppesen, Clint (Keasi) Jeppesen, Cami (Chris) Riebsomer, and Callie (Kevin) Kula. He is also survived by his 23 grandchildren; his mother, Alice Jeppesen; and his siblings, Kyle Jeppesen, Karla Jensen, Kent Jeppesen, Krista Staggie, Kenna Kimber, Katha Taylor, and Kelly Jeppesen. He was preceded in death by his father, George Jeppesen.
Curtis loved deeply, served quietly, laughed fully, and cherished his grandchildren more than life itself. His legacy of devotion, humor, hard work, and family love will continue to bless the lives of all who knew him.
