Bryant Bird

Sep 3, 1962 — Jun 10, 2026

Our loving father, brother and friend passed away on June 10, 2026 in San Antonio, TX. Bryant Lee Bird was born Sept.3, 1962 in Rupert, Idaho. His parents, Matt and Veda Richards Bird were overjoyed to bring their blue-eyed, blonde haired little boy home. He had a happy and cheerful personality. He loved life and had many strong ties with his family and friends. He was a friend to all and it didn’t take long for a stranger to become his friend.

Bryant grew up in St. Anthony, and Teton City, Idaho, attending schools in St. Anthony and graduating from South Fremont High school in 1980. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Ricks College. Bryant was blessed with three children; Rion, Jonathan and Analisa, whom he dearly loved, and cherished the time he spent with them. They in turn, loved him and knew their Dad was their biggest fan, supporter and protector.

Bryant loved to laugh. He loved being in nature, camping, fishing, skiing, and snowmobiling. He loved animals. When he was about 12 years old, he trained a young hawk, that he named BB, to land on his shoulder. He had the wonderful gift of playing the piano by ear. We were blessed to have his beautiful music enrich and brighten our lives, and he lovingly shared this gift with many people. He tuned and repaired many pianos throughout his life. He also worked for Intalco aluminum plant in Bellingham, WA and Kennecott Copper Mine in Utah.

Bryant is survived by his children; Rion and his wife Darcy, of Ferndale, WA, Jonathan of Idaho Falls, ID and Analisa of Poteet, TX. Two grandchildren, Zachary and Evelyn. A brother, Clinton Bird of Teton, ID and a sister, Holly Schley and her husband Rob, of Rigby, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Veda, and a sister-in-law, Linda Bird.

He will be deeply missed and long remembered.

His family will receive friends on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June
